RECORD STORE DAY IS APRIL 18TH

Cynics Place Bets On How Many More Celebrations Remain..

Don’t be a pessimist. The music industry, especially physical media sales are drastically down. First Tower Records, now Virgin Megastores. Things are on a decline, sure, but this is something more than vinyl. It’s the people who love music, have an opinion on music, tastemakers, people who live music giving their gifts to you. Many stores are celebrating and labels are providing special Record Store Day one-offs. Matador will be offering split 7″‘s from Sonic Youth/Beck and Jay Reatard/Sonic Youth.

Check out what stores are participating (including Sound Fix and Other Music) at Recordstoreday.com.
