Get ready to drop whatever you’re doing this Wednesday through Friday, because the best band you’ve never heard of are playing three dates in the NYC area.  El Ten Eleven, the two-man, instrumental post-rock group from Los Angeles, have gone unnoticed for too long.  What they lack in manpower, they more than make up for with their unique approach to the genre.  While Tim Fogarty balances the beat between acoustic and digital drums, Kristian Dunn uses a double-neck bass/guitar and a vast array of pedals to make one man sound like five.

Their first self-titled record was flush with pretty, looped guitar parts and layered beats, like Tortoise remixing Sonic Youth.  However, as of late, they have been shifting toward a highly danceable, bass-heavy electronic sound – think a more dynamic Ratatat.  They are playing the Mercury Lounge on Wednesday, Café Nine in New Haven on Thursday, and Union Hall on Friday.  Seriously, do not miss these guys.

to be just what I’m looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content to suit your needs?
I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on a few of the subjects you write related to here.
    Again, awesome web log!
