DAVID BYRNE AND THE DIRTY PROJECTORS = RED HOT

by josiah

Hold your breath for a second….according to a recent journal entry on his site, David Byrne has recorded two songs with the Dirty Projectors. I don’t think it’s just me that finds this pairing ingenious, as Byrne writes in his entry: “I’d been told more than once that we should all work together, and it seems the suggestion was fated to be realized.”

NO MORE BY THE DIRTY PROJECTORS:

Apparently, he is also a fan of their music. The tracks are to be included on the Red Hot compilation to benefit AIDS research, and besides being a great cause, the compilation should be a great collection judging by those involved besides Byrne and the Dirty P’s: Feist, Sufjan Stevens, Grizzly Bear, Sharon Jones, the Decembrists, and the National are those that are mentioned in his entry.

There’s been a lot of activity from Mr. Byrne, including a live musical building, an album and tour with fellow genius Brian Eno, and, oh, about a million other things (including broken ribs).

So, if you know what’s good for you, stop listening to me and read all of the really interesting things he has to say in his journal.
